A Prayer Request

Hello! Yes, I'm back after a month of silence. It's been very, very busy lately with the kids around, applying for scholarships, doing school, taking a CLEP test, working out things with college, etc....
Anyway, I'd like to ask for your prayers on my little brother Jesse's behalf. If all goes well, he will be going in for surgery on his nose tomorrow morning. He has a hole in his nose along with a severely deviated septum (a fancy term meaning that the wall that separates his nostrils is very crooked). About two months ago he woke up with a whistling nose and I mean that it was a loud whistling nose because it woke me up which isn't always easy to do. He couldn't get it to stop and his nostrils were almost completely swollen shut. His allergy doctor found the whole a few weeks ago and sent him to an ENT (not the trees in LOTR, by the way). The ENT decided that he would need surgery. I know Jesse would appreciate your prayers. He is a little nervous about his first surgery. Thank you and God bless you all!

Texas Ho!!!!!!

Yes, my sister's family is officially moved out here and they've found a double wide mobile home that they're in the process of buying. We left after I got back from Chemistry class about two weeks ago and got to their house the next day. We then packed up everything by Wednesday afternoon and headed for Little Rock, Arkansas. Jesse and I ended up having to ride with Julie and James because some of their stuff had to be packed in Dad's truck. I ended up sitting by my nephew Benjamin for most of the trip and was used as a sticker post (They were playing with Julie's old address labels), a pillow, a chip bag opener, an entertainer, and an all-around good ole auntie. The trip from Little Rock to home took about twice as long because of the several stops we had to make and having to travel slower because of pulling trailors. My main trouble was when my allergies started acting up. I'm feeling some better now, but I'm still having trouble with them. Anyway, it's so great to have them out here!!!! I do feel sorry for David though, he's only about 18 months old and has no idea of what's going on. The rest of the kids seem extremely excited to be in Texas. Samuel said that he wants to be in Texas forever and I hope, if God wills it, they will.
The past week has been tough for me which is part of the reason I haven't posted in a while. The election results really discouraged me and I was upset and frankly, a little scared. With the Democrats now in the majority in Congress, it seems that our country really is going down a lot quicker than I thought. I'm not saying that the Republicans were perfect. I didn't like their spending habit or some of their ethical problems, but I truly believe they would have been a better alternative to the Democrats. I do know, however, that God is still in control and if I didn't have Him to depend on, I'd be in the depths of despair at the moment. What I think really encouraged me was seeing Facing the Giants last night. If you haven't seen that movie, you should! I think it is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time! Anyway, I would ask you to join me in praying for this our beloved Columbia that she might turn from her wicked ways and seek God.

Weekend Fun

Well, howdy! Everything's pretty busy right now. My sister and her family are definitely moving out here next week! We'll actually have to leave the day after our meeting to head out there to help them move. So, I get a week off from school! YAY!!!!! Somehow we're going to have to pack during the meeting or something. I'm still kind of in shock that they're actually moving out here. We've had so many false alarms when we thought that they were going to be moving that I'm still in a state of denial in a sense. ;) It really is exciting! We'll finally have a lot of little kids in our church!
Well, this past weekend was a lot of fun! Jesse and I went to one of my friend's house for the weekend. A couple of other friends came also and we went over to the RHC and participated in a day where they show the public how the pioneers used to live. We dressed up 1880s style and did handwork such as embroidery and crocheting, showed people how the pioneers used to dry fruit for the winter, handed children pieces of fruit to hang on a line, sang good ole songs such as "Sweet Prospect", "Wondrous Love", "Hail, Sovereign Love", and a couple of other songs, and talked to many interesting people. I really enjoyed myself though my hair was quite incooperative when I tried to get it to look old-fashioned. Many of you with very fine hair would probably understand. Anyway, we all had fun later back at the house talking and joking. I always look forward to participating in activities at the RHC. I was going to post some pictures, but I forgot to load them on here beforehand. I'll try to later.
Well, I baked my beloved Peanutbutter chip cookies along with some chocolate chip cookies last night. Hopefully, that will bribe some of you into coming to our meeting. ;) I'm also to bake a pound cake later today, so no slamming doors or stomping around the house, Jesse!!! I hate it when you slave over making a cake and it has the audacity to fall! Ah, well, such is life! Talk to ya later and God bless!

Another Day, Another Carrot

Course, I'm not actually much of a fan of carrots, but I thought the phrase from Bugs Bunny was quite fitting. ;) I've been rather busy around the house and around some other places. We've kind of been doing a fall spring cleaning if you know what I mean. Our church is having a meeting in a couple of weeks and we're to have company, so we must have a clean house to present. Basically, all day Saturday we were cleaning something such as the church, blinds, curtains, corners, floors, etc... Whew! I was tired out by Saturday evening!
Well, I have been doing some other things also. For instance, I went to Chemistry class yesterday and had a rather enjoyable class. I also spent a couple of hours doing some research for a vocation project at a big library. I've been looking up the job of an interpreter and I must say that they have quite an interesting job! I also found that they often have irregular hours, are under a lot of pressure, and are constantly traveling depending on the type of interpreter. I'd really enjoy getting to see new places and travel around the world, plus I also enjoy studying French.

The Ditsy Cheerleaders

Today I went to a special day they had for incoming freshmen at the college I was accepted at. It started around 7:30 a.m. and Mom and I had to leave really early to get there on time. Well, we're all sitting there half awake in the basketball arena and this music that sounds very similar to circus music starts up and all these people (the girls looked like they were in bathing suits) start jumping and flipping around all over the basketball court yelling all this rather incomprehendable stuff. We're all kind of sitting there like *what?*. Then these people start coming out trying to teach us this fight song and whatnot and we're still sitting there rather half dazed. After all this is over this really ditsy looking blonde-haired cheerleader skips across the court with her male companion. She comes up to the podium and says, "Hi, I'm Ashley! and this here is:" pointing to her male friend, who says, "David" and I'm thinking, you mean Barbie and Ken, right? She then starts rambling on in this Barbie voice (if you can imagine) about all this stuff that cheerleaders get free around the campus and blah blah blah blah blah..... Then she steps back and by this time I'm about to die laughing because she totally fit the definition of ditsy, and this other dance girl (a different type of cheerleader) named Amie who was a little less ditsy talks for a while about what kind of stuff she does and gets. I'm kind of watching the first ditsy pom-pom girl just to see what exactly she is going to do and I notice that her face lights up and her hands go over her mouth like she forgot to tell us all something very important. When Amie gets done Ashley comes back up to the podium and says in her very Barbie voice, "Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell you, we also get free teeth whitening! *giggle, giggle*" By this time I was about to roll in the floor with laughter and was having a terrible time trying to not just burst out laughing. I'm still laughing about it and I think that was one of the highlights of my day. HAHA!!! Ah, well, a day without laughter is a day wasted as the saying goes. The rest of the day went okay though it was rather eventful. It was interesting that Mom and I got the same bus driver three times when there were several other buses. He was a nice older guy probably in his sixties who was very friendly and happy to talk about what buildings we were passing and the new things that were being built. Mom's always had a special respect for bus drivers since her daddy drove a bus in Atlanta, Ga. after WWII. Anyway, I do think I've found which dorm I want to try to get into and I found out a lot of information that I needed to know. Boy, I sure am sore though from climbing so many stairs. Maybe I'm just getting old *snicker, snicker* Well, I just thought ya'll might get a kick out of how funny the ditsy cheerleader was. Oh, boy,......

Wahooooooooooooo!!!!!

Well, I was dancing all over the house yesterday because of some wonderful news I received upon opening our mailbox. I have been accepted at the university I had been applying at! I really had doubted that they would actually accept me because of my type of schooling. Jesse started playing the "Hallelujah Chorus" chorus after Mom got off the phone, and we all started laughing. We were all so, so happy! Thank you, Lord! I had been praying that if it was God's will for me to go there that He would open the doors and He has! I've really been praising Him and thanking Him since I found out yesterday. Mom and I then contacted all my siblings and passed the news along. Okay, you're probably wondering what else I did to celebrate besides dancing around the house like a maniac. Well, I went over to a gas station and had me a White Chocolate Caramel cappuccino. I only get them occasionally, so I thought this was definately a time to celebrate and get one! Oh! I'm so happy!!!!!

Busy Bee

I'm really sorry that the time between my posts seems to be becoming longer and longer! I've been so busy with school, work (I actually found a little bit of a job!), and things going on around the house that I'm usually just too tired or occupied to post. I guess most people are having the same trouble with posting.
Anyway, I shall hasten to give you a little bit of a summary of what I've been up to! Well, Chemistry was very time-consuming this past week with the study of calorimetry and energy. Oh, those calorimetry problems are something else! I finally got the hang of 'em, but I wouldn't regret it if I never touched one again in my entire life!!! This week of Chemistry seems so easy compared to last week! I've also got this vocational term paper that I'm having trouble trying to find sources for. I didn't realize how hard it would be to find sources about a French interpreter or an interepreter in general. Hopefully, I'll be able to find some at a bigger library.
Oh, we also found out the news that there's a possibility that one of my siblings and her family may be moving out here in the next couple of weeks! I told Mom though, that I wouldn't believe it until the people who want to buy their house have signed the contract because two times previously people have said that they were going to buy the house and then backed out before signing a contract. I do hope it goes through though.
I've been kinda sad this past week. A lot of kids that I knew from my time at public school and even a couple were friends have been arrested for selling and having possesion of cocaine. I feel that there is something serious going on in this county because a lot of drug dealers have been arrested but not prosecuted. Please pray!
Well, I guess I'll end for now! I'm trying to come up with something interesting to post on here. No, don't laugh! I'll figure something out... Pictures

Just some pictures from our trip to Georgia back in July. We left on Saturday morning of the GC meeting and headed that way. The picture just above is of my uncle's foyer floor. It is actually his design and he cut and laid the tiles for it.. He's really quite talented! We really did enjoy staying at his house for a few days. Oh, on the speaking of our trip, Pawpaw has improved after the doctor's realized they'd misdiagnosed him and changed his medicine. He is now living in assisted living and seems to so far not be having anymore violent episodes. That really is an answer to prayer and please keep him and Granny in your prayers!
Well, I've been pretty busy lately which will account for my not posting in a while. I've been applying for college, doing schoolwork, and helping out with a second grade class. We were also helping an elderly sister in our church move to an apartment this past Saturday. We were quite worn out last night and it didn't help that some Mexican family (I could tell by the music) was making so much racket across town that it was quite hard to go subconscious. Then when I finally got to sleep my mind seem to go into override (Have you ever had that happen?) where another words I was thinking of everything else except sleeping. A Eulogy for Summer

Summer came to his timely death September 5, 2006, at age 3 months. He died of natural causes and the added strain of the starting of school. He was born June 1, 2006. He is survived by his three siblings: Autumn, Winter, and Spring. A memorial was held by a brief moment of silence around 7:00 a.m. on September 5th. There was no burial because, of course, it is impossible to bury a season. We shall miss you, Summer, though you've kept many of us busy and hot. May you rest in peace for now. *sniff, sniff*

The Mad Scientist!

Yes, I started Chemistry yesterday! *evil laugh* Yeah, well, we won't be doing any just really explosive experiments, but I do hope that it will be enjoyable enough. My sister really enjoyed Chemistry, so I'm hoping that I will too. So far it's just review of some algebra and metric units and some other things. I really do think I like the teacher so far and the class is small, so it won't be too terrible to get help if needed. The class is two hours and fifteen minutes long, so it's quite a bit longer than my Calculus class was last year.
Well, I have been kept busy lately. I've been helping out with a second grade class. I enjoy it, but it does have its challenges. The kids are really cute and look up to me as if I were the jolly green giant per se. The only main problem I seem to have is when they don't want to pay attention or talk when they're supposed to be quiet.
For now, I shall conclude with hopes of writing again soon. I hope that everything is going well for all of you and that you're being good and eating plenty of veggies! God bless!

"But the cat came back, she wouldn't stay away, she was there on the porch on the very next day..."

Yes, our loyal cat, Spunky couldn't stay away even after we'd given her away. We had given her and her four kittens to our pastor and his wife who live out in the country about six miles from here. Well, last night as Jesse and I were driving up after going over to the school for some football thing we saw her out in the yard and our chins dropped to the ground (not literally, of course!). Ah, well, what shall we do with such a cat, I wonder????? Anybody that happens to live very far away across a river want a crazy kitty by any chance?

We had a really good turn out for the singing and it really sounded great! We had about 48 people come which was more than we thought would actually show up. We also did have some visitors come in and listen for a while. Some of the people who came for the singing stayed over for church and did seem to enjoy it. Brother Tom really did preach a good sermon!
Well, school shall be starting soon unfortunately. I start my Chemistry class in a week. It will be good though for us to go ahead and start so that we're not rushing to try to finish before H.H. starts in June.
You know, I'm really starting to enjoy driving! Used to I was just so nervous about driving that I really didn't enjoy it that much, but now that I have my own car and can drive myself places, I really rather enjoy it. I had fun driving to a friend's birthday celebration the night before the singing. We also enjoyed staying up late watching Hogan's Heroes episodes. Oh, they're just so great! I'm hoping to get the second season as soon as I can.

A Sacred Harp Singing!!!

We are going to be having a Sacred Harp singing here! If you don't know where here is ask around because I'm not going to reveal that over the internet unless I know you. Sorry, it's just a little bit of safety measures. Anyway, it will take place at our church on August 19th starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending around 2 0r 3 p.m. I hope a lot of ya'll can come! I'm going to fix my much-loved peanut butter chip cookies if that will bribe anybody!

Some of My Summer Pictures

I'm back again! These aren't all my pictures. I may try to load some more later when I can get around to it. :D
We went to the Memphis Meeting this past weekend and we really enjoyed it and hated to have to leave on Saturday morning. I really enjoyed the sermons and look forward to reviewing my notes sometime soon. I realized later just how necessary it was that we left on Saturday and headed to Georgia. I had been told that PawPaw had really gone down, but I guess I really didn't realize just how much until I saw it for myself and it was quite heartbreaking to see him in that condition. He is at home at the moment, and I'd ask that you keep both my Granny and him in ya'll's prayers. We stayed at with my Uncle Jim and his family which was quite a treat. His two little girls are absolutely adorable and we really enjoyed the time we had to visit with them. We also visited some family and we also had the great privilege to visit Brother Jerry, Sr. in the hospital. By the time we got home yesterday we were all quite tired, but I am happy to say that almost everything is unpacked! ;)

Yes, I feel like travelin' on....

That's right! I'll be hitting the road again soon. Let's see before I go into what I'm going to be doing, I probably ought to tell you what I have done, huh. Well, let's see where was I? Oh, yes, let me tell you some of the wonderful time I had while staying at Kara's house! You're probably wondering what in the world was the 3 a.m. doggie scare. Well, I shall try to briefly tell you the little funny story. My first night at Kara's house, we were sleeping on the couch bed in the living room since her cat's dandruff seemed to be making me to sneeze a lot in her room. Her dog Duby was asleep in his little bed next to the bed where we were. Anyway, Kara and I wake up about 3 to this vicious growling and barking and Kara grabs me and I start gasping loudly and trying to keep myself from screaming. I had forgotten where I was in the midst of my deep slumber and I kept having these visions of a dog jumping on the bed and tearing my head off. Course, after we both realized what had happened we laughed and continue to laugh about it. Thankfully, that didn't happen again during the rest of my stay, but I must say that I did jump when Kara showed me the brown recluse spider that she had just found. We, of course, enjoyed our late night giggles and watching many an old movie as well as some more modern ones. I shall never forget my wonderful stay at her house and thank both her and her family for putting up with me for a week. It must indeed get rather tedious to have someone over who's allergic to the stuff I'm allergic to. ;) The zoo was also a lot of fun, though, I must say, those animals looked rather bored, don't you agree? I think the only animated creatures were those monkeys that kept calling to each other.
Anyway, Kara and I and two of her brothers headed out early Monday (July 3rd) in the G van to head to Boot Camp (Bible study camp for those of you unfamiliar. I've sure gotten some weird looks in the past when I've said that I'm going to Boot Camp.) I'd say that this BC went really well and I really feel that I was able to absorb a lot from the sessions. The theme was "Overcoming Fear" and I have a lot of fears that I need to work on overcoming. Brother Zack also preached on the Christian's proper attitude toward civil government. We also sang many patriotic songs and were able to see some fireworks from across the lake.
Well, finally a very tired young woman made a final homecoming! Dad asked me if he knew me and I asked him if he was that guy that I call Dad. We both laughed and smiled. My oldest brother and his family came in just in time for supper and later Justin surprised us my popping in unexpectedly. Jesse and I enjoyed tossing a football around with my nephew, course, when the game turned into Monkey in the Middle, Jesse practically tackled me trying to get the ball. That wasn't fun because amidst all the giggling my hair got all entangled with the ball and Jesse's arms. Oh, well, it was fun. The next day we spent walking around town and taking to the town's two museums and a few antique shops. We then came home and played Hand and Foot (a card game) and laughed a lot. We then ended the day with watching UHF. Teehee! The next day we went around some to the town garage sale and found a few things that couldn't be passed up. For instance,I found me a coat that cost a dollar that would normally cost about fifty dollars! Ah, you got to love garage sales! After running around town and about getting talked into buying a exercise system that didn't work, we finally came home and played Spoons, Clue, and Life. It was so much fun and I really hated to see them leave early Sunday morning.
Well, the rest of this week has gone well, but I'll have to tell you more later. God bless!

I'm Back!!

Yes, my last post was exactly a month ago! Wow, that's hard to believe! A lot has happened in the last month and I am thoroughly tired out, but glad to be home for at least a few days. ;) Well, shall I give you a little bit of a summary of all I've been up to? I guess I shall, but I think I'll wait about loading pictures for another day because I don't really feel like loading them on here at the moment. For one thing, a lot of them need to be edited and down-sized. Anyway, my first week I went to H.H. and I must say that we had a very blessed week there. I've always enjoyed singing hymns and the singing really sounded spectacular this year! We did some recording also and I can't wait to purchase the CD when it comes out. Our high school/college class sang "The Tree of Life" and "Wonderful Grace of Jesus" on Friday night and we also sang "If My People's Hearts Are Humbled" with the junior high class. I also was in an ensemble of girls that recorded a couple of songs that sound really great. What really was amazing was all the overtones we kept hearing throughout H.H. singing. One thing I must say, though, is that it was extremely hot the first part of the week! Thankfully, it cooled down towards the last part of the week, but it was still hot!
Next, we headed on to CM! My brother and I followed some friends of ours to Tennessee and then on to CM. We got to see Stephen!!!! He seems to be doing well and seemed to really enjoy CM. The week went really well and I really feel like I learned a lot from the Bible studies and have a bunch to reflect and meditate on. I also enjoyed visiting with my many friends and playing all sorts of sports. Course, I didn't enjoy twisting my ankle playing volleyball, but after a few days it was okay. It's also too bad that I struck out twice during the girls' softball game before I finally hit the ball. I guess I shall have to tell you more about CM later because I'm running short of time as it is.
Okay, next, I went to my friend Kara's house for a week before BC. We really enjoyed visiting, laughing, staying up late, watching movies, going to the zoo, you name it, we enjoyed it! Course, in all my life, I shall never forget the 3 a.m. doggie scare my first night at her house. HEEHEE!!! I shall have to tell you of it later for, I'm running very, very, very, short on time. I guess I'll have to wait on the tale of the rest of my trip until later. Besides, I'm still pretty exhausted and feel like curling up on the couch with a good book. Packing all the day!

Whew! I'm tired! I guess I often forget how tiring packing for a long trip can be. Course, last night we had company over, so I slept in our den. I could actually say I had a tv in my room temporarily. ;) Anyway, I got awakened earlier than my usual rising hour, so I was more tired than usual.
You could probably say that my room is a safety hazard at this point with all the junk all over the floor, desk, bed, dresser,....well, you get the point. After I leave, Dad will be closing up Jesse and I's rooms so that we can save on air, so no one shall be entering for a while. Hopefully, things will be in some order before I leave because the same day that I get back my oldest brother and his family are coming in for a visit.
I guess I shall go and maneuver around the piles of stuff and try to make some sort of order out of it. I'll be gone for about a month, so if I don't post for a long time, that's why. So, so long and I hope to see a lot of you and everybody else be nice!

Trips around the corner!

Do ya'll remember that old cartoon where Elmer Fudd had this dog with fleas and Fudd told the dog that if he saw him scratch he'd give him a bath, and there was this flea that kept biting the dog while singing "Food around the corner, food around the corner...."? Hee-hee! What's kind of funny is that my Mom remembers watching that particular cartoon when she was little. Anyway, I guess you could say that there's a lot of trips around the corner this summer if everything works out. We'll be heading to Harmony Hill this Sunday, Lord Willing, and then afterwards to Camp Moriah. It's going to be so much fun. The main thing that might hold us back from going is the driver's side window on our car has gotten messed up. For some reason the window won't go up and Dad is having to see if he can find the part to fix it. I hope he's able to fix it!
I am really enjoying summer!!!!! It's so nice to not have to worry about studying or papers due! I've just been relaxing and working on a jigsaw puzzle so far. I've had the jigsaw sitting out for a while and my parents told me that I need to get it finished before I leave on Sunday, so I usually will turn on some music and try to figuire it out. I love puzzles, but I'm at the hardest part of the puzzle right now, so I'm sort of puzzled on how to put it together. Oh, well, I've guess I better quite blabbing about such boring things. I hope all of ya'll are doing well and being nice! Talk to ya later!

Well, I shall now show you some of my pictures from this past weekend. I went to my friend Shanna's graduation from nursing school about a week ago. I was soooo happy for her after all the work she put in. She also invited my two other friends, Lana and Sarah. We have in the past been called the Four Musketeers. We really had a lot of fun! We also helped Shanna move into her new house which I think we'll remember that first night in her empty house for the rest of our lives! Hee-hee!!!! Well, enough talk, let's look at some pictures.

Well, today was my official last day of school after I suffered through my dreaded French final. Good grief, that test was hard, but it actually wasn't as bad as I had feared. Ah, c'est la vie, n'est-ce pas? Well, I'm done until this fall anyway! :P I'm hoping to keep my French sharp by having many French only conversation with Jesse this summer. We're actually planning to have a day where we only talk French, well, when necessary we'll speak English; such as when we answer the phone..... :D
It's only a little over a week until Harmony Hill!!!!!! I hope I'll be able to come, but I'm still waiting on hearing from someone about a job and that's more important at the moment. If nobody calls me next week, I'll plan to be there and Camp Moriah! It's going to be so much fun, and I hope to see several of ya'll there!

I was doing some studying in literature and ran across this poem again. The first time I read it I really didn't understand it, but now I do. I just thought ya'll might enjoy it! A Shocking Experience

The other night as I was finishing up my before bed personal devotions, the lights all of the sudden blinked and were out. There was not a cloud in the sky and everyone else's power was out also, so I was a little stumped as to why the power was out, but I just went ahead and clicked my lamp so that it wouldn't come back on in the middle of the night and headed of to LaLa Land. Yesterday I found out from what someone was saying at church that supposedly a snake (not sure what type) slithered under the power substation fence, climbed up into a transformer, and shorted it. HeeHee! I bet it sure had a transforming experience!!! I just think that so hilarious just trying to visualize it!
Along the subject of funny and even strange reptiles, as I was listening to Rush Limbaugh's program the funniest story came up. A guy called in and was talking of his tamed and trained alligator named Bubba. Rush could hardly believe it, and was even wondering if someone was trying to put him up. The guy would take this alligator to birthday parties where kids would actually take rides on it, to the hospitals to visit people, and several other functions. Have you ever heard of such a thing!!! Look Who's Got Braces!

Mr. Jesse actually got them nearly three weeks ago, but I just never could get around to finally putting the announcement on here. He seems to be pretty used to them now. I really can sympathize with his pain as I'm sure many others can.

I bought my car today, but I'll actually get it tomorrow. I promise that I will put a picture of it on here! It really is a nice car and I look forward to driving it. LOOK OUT TEXAS, HERE I COME!!! ;)

Well, I really must apologize for my silence as of late. It's not that I haven't been on the internet, I usually just didn't get around to posting on here.
I officially will be buying my first car on Sunday! It is a white '91 Buik Century that has been well taken care of and doesn't have too many miles on it. An elderly lady in our church is going to be moving to St. Louis to be closer to her daughter and she needed to sell her car. We're really going to miss her and her sister who have been in our church since it was constituted. Sister Willie whom I'm buying the car from is 89 and Sister Jeanie is 92 and they still fuss like siblings. They are really sweet though.
Well, not much else than that has been going on. I hope to be done completely with school by June 1! I will finish math class in about two weeks and I think after I finish that class I'm going to drive away with the Hallelujah Chorus blaring out my windows!!!
A couple of weeks ago I got a birthday card/present from my sister and her family. It was soooo cute because Rachel, Samuel, and Benjamin decorated individual cards for me! Samuel even wrote Happy Birthday Stacey! He's only four and he's already writing and spelling! I can't wait to see them!
Well, I guess that's all for now! I can't think of what else to say. Maybe if I ponder for a while I think of something more interesting to put on here. Until then....so long!!!!

No, I didn't disapear off the face of the earth!

At the last minute we decided to take a trip to Georgia for my Grandmother's birthday. She has Alzheimers and lately she seemed to be becoming more confused, so we felt that we ought to go and see her. Several of us gathered for her birthday celebration last Saturday and it really went well. When my uncle presented her with her birthday cake she threw her hands up in the air and started clapping and exclaiming how happy she was.

I'm really glad that we went even though the trip has really worn us out. On the way there we ran into some terrible rain to where we couldn't even see the car in front of us. There was a lot of praying going on in our car until we finally got through it. We also had some wonderful visits with some of the rest of the family. We went to Pawpaw and Granny's house also and stayed for a couple of days. Granny's flowers are so beautiful!!! I had a hayday just going out and photographing her flowers! I'll have to show you some of my pictures, but for now I'll just show one.

I think Granny said these are called Joseph's Coat of Many Colors, but I'm not completely sure about that. On Sunday afternoon Jesse was playing with three of our little cousins and I thought this picture was sooo cute:

Well, I must go now! I really am very tired and I feel like just laying down with one of the many books Granny let me borrow. Course, I also need to do some unpacking, :/ but maybe that could wait. Talk to ya'll soon and I'll try to tell ya'll more about our trip if I remember to! :D

Horsey!!!

Hey! Lookey what I found while looking through some old pictures! Isn' this cute! I must be about two and Justin is probably about six. The horse was my sister's horse Pepper that she had for a while. She used to take me riding when I was really little and she said that I was never scared of the horse. I remeber asking her when I was little why horses stood up when they slept and she said because that's the way God made them. Ah! the memories!
I do have an update having to do with the America's Funniest Home Videos thing! The show will air on May 19 on ABC. You'll have to check your local listings to see what channel abc comes on in your area.

It's My Birthday!!!

This is my birthday cake! It sure tastes good too! It's kind of like strawberry shortcake, and the recipe is incedibly simple. We were trying to figuire out what to use to decorate it since the top is whipped cream. Jesse than jokingly said, "Well, why don't you use strawberries?" I thought for a minute and readily agreed that that would probably work best, so I chopped strawberries in little pieces and made the words above. Thanks for the idea, Jesse!!!
It's funny how on your birthday itself, you never feel a year older.
Well, Stephen left this morning for Oregon. It will take him until Friday to get there. We are really going to miss him! Please pray for him!

Recently my Great Uncle Kenneth died. I only met him a couple of times as a child because they didn't come down to visit much because they lived so far away. He had a very fascinating life story including working for the government and actually working on the Manhatten Project in WWII. He worked in the secret service so that he couldn't even tell his family what exactly he was doing or how much he was being paid. I recently read some stories about him that various family sent out through an email forum our family has, and he lived a vary interesting life. I would like to dedicate the recitation of these song lyrics that are found in the number 11 Old School Hymnal #380 to him and his family.

The Results!

We know the results now! *drum roll* The show was taped last night at Disney World and will air on Friday May 19, but I'm not sure yet of the time or the channel, I'm sure Sister Kathy will let us know as soon as they can. (I'm sorry I've had to edit what happened on the show because we just found out today that it's supposed to be kind of secret until the showing on May 19. Sister Kathy suggested that I might want to edit my blog about their placing, so sorry!)
Mom talked to Sister Kathy this morning, and they are having a blast at Disney World and are staying in a really hip-hop hotel that includes a kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a jacoozee(sp?). They're really getting treated like royalty down there. The people at AFV gave them spending money and told them to do whatever they wanted to. It really is good that they're getting this time to relax and enjoy a vacation after all they've been through in the last year. Again, as soon as I know what time it's showing I'll let ya'll know!
There really hasn't much else been going lately besides that. I think I may have found both a car and a job!!!! There's a restaurant in Lubbock that isn't open on Sundays that is owned my one of my math classmate's parents. I already got an application and am just waiting on getting the car which will hopefully be available in a week or so. An elderly lady in our church is needing to get rid of a '91 Buik Century that's really good shape, so Dad and I have kind of talked to her about it, and she was really excited about my possibly buying it. She really is a sweet lady and quite agile for 89.
Stephen is moving to OREGON!!!! I really had hoped he'd get the job in Jackson, MS, but that didn't work out. He'll be moving the day of my birthday (April 12) and I told him that that was a pretty rotten birthday present. It's really too bad there isn't something open down here, but he doesn't like the Texas climate anyway, course, I doubt he'll care for Oregon's climate much.
Well, I guess it's tootaloo for now. I must leave to go agitate the kitties in the garage. They're probably hungry and posted at the door to see if they can trip me up as I walk in with their sustenance. Actually, one of them looks like she has a bowling ball in her stomach and waddles very slowly everywhere, so we'll probably have a litter of little kitties to give away before too long. :/

America's Funniest Home Videos!!!!

Guess What!? A video that my pastor and his wife sent in is going to be on America's Funniest Home Videos and my mom and dad and Jesse, Justin, and I are all in it! Sister Kathy took the video about three years ago when we were shooting fire works off for the Fourth of July down at their house on the ranch. They had these minature dachsund puppies at the house. Well, Justin shot off a Roman candle at one of the puppies ran down and grabbed the Roman candle out of the sand and started running with it with the stuff still shooting out of the thing. We, of course, were running away because he was running straight for us with it in his mouth. Kathy then told us not to light another one until she could get her video camera out. It was sooo funny, and we still laugh about it. I've never seen Brother Tom jump out of the way so fast when that dog came by with that Roman candle in his mouth, and the dog would do it every time we put a Roman candle or anything out to shoot off. Anyway, America's Funniest Home Videos called our pastor and his wife and told them that they were to be in the top 20 with a possible grand prize of $250,000! AFV will be flying them down to Orlando, Florida tomorrow and they'll stay until Friday. We were kind of teasing Brother Tom about if he was going to where his cowboy hat on the show. The show is supposed to air sometime in May, so those of you with a TV should tune in to see the first Primitive Baptist on AFV! I'll let you know as soon as I know the date!
Well, I really must apologize for my apparant silence lately! The last couple of weeks have been incredibly busy. I did take the SAT this past Saturday and I absolutely hate the stupid thing! I was pretty exhausted after taking it, but I'm so glad it's overwith! I also felt rather weird in a giant crowd of unfamiliar faces in an unfamiliar place, but I did know one girl who was their because she goes to my math class and that was rather comforting. I really ought to get more sleep, but I'm really not much of a nap taker. I did try to sleep Saturday, but about the time I finally got to sleep my Dad dropped something in the kitchen and woke me up so that I couldn't get back to sleep. Well, speaking of sleep, I probably ought to go prepare for slumber because it's already almost 10:00 p.m.! Talk to you soon and God bless!!!

Well, I really am sorry it's taken me over two weeks to finally get these pictures on here! Things have just been busy lately!
IT RAINED!!!!! last weekend it poured rain! We really needed the rain really badly and I can't tell you how happy I was to hear it thundering against the roof! Oh, and IT SNOWED TOO!! This past Wednesday it started snowing which is the first we've had this wint--*ahem*-- spring. Course, we only got about a 1/2 inch at the most, but it was nice to see it!
Well, I shall have to go endure the blasted SAT a week from tomorrow. I'll just be really glad when it's over, and then I'll be done with all my standardized tests!!!!!! This coming Monday I'll be going to Texas Tech for some sort of reception thing for kids in my grade that's celebrating my academic success or something like that. I hope the food tastes good! ;)
I've also been doing the usual, you know, looking for a car and a job. I've tried everywhere in town and got a whole bunch of no's and I've filled out three applications in case they do get an opening. I guess I'll have to find myself a car and go apply in another town. Well, hopefully I'll find something soon! I've really been praying that the Lord will help me to find some sort of job and a reliable car. Maybe He's teaching me to be patient.

Didja miss me?

All right, I know, it's been over two weeks since I last posted, but seriously I've been incredibly busy and that's putting it lightly!
So, since this blog is called The Goings on of Moi, I shall give you a brief account of what's been happenin'. Let's see, the Tuesday after my last post I went to take to college algebra CLEP test and passed!!!!!!!! I was so happy because now I don't have to take algebra in college!!! When my score came up on the computer screen in the testing room I felt like jumping around and shouting "YIPPEE!!!", but the people watching the cameras in the room would probably think I'd gone crazy, so I restrained myself.
Next I went to Boot Camp which went great! The theme was over obeying and honoring your parents and I really learned a lot and also learned some new ideas on how I could be more obedient and honoring to my parents. I really did enjoy the fellowship although unfortunately I lost my voice on Saturday night due to a cold. I was able to keep talking even though it was in sqeaks and whispers. Then we left at the crack of dawn from Azle to get back to church in time for church. Boy, was I tired, but I was still happy I came. That Sunday afternoon I took a long nap and had weird dreams(don't ask).
During the week I ended up going over to a friend's house for a night since Mom was working at the polls. I needed a way of getting to math class. I really did have fun even though I was still rather tired. They took me and an aunt and uncle of theirs to Cattle Baron where I ordered a chicken fried steak that turned out to be about the size of the plate. I think that was the biggest chicken fried steak I had ever seen in my life!
This past weekend I went to Emily R. 's wedding! It was so pretty! I thought it rather funny how Eric and the Best man were having some trouble getting the rings untied off the ring bear pillow. We were half expecting him to pull out his pocket knife, but they finally got them untied. I still can't believe Emily is married now!!! I do have pictures! I'll have to maybe load them on here later. It was a couple of friends and I who went to the wedding and we had so much fun staying in our own hotel room and probably staying up way too late. They spent Saturday night here and we watched UHF on Sunday afternoon. They had never seen UHF and they thought it was pretty cute.
Well, I guess I ought to scadadal. I've got to start studying some for the SAT which I'll take in about two weeks. I hope everyone is doing okay!

A Texas Sunrise

I'm not exactly sure when exactly this picture was taken. Jesse came into the kitchen while I was getting my coffee and told me that there was a beautiful sunrise outside. He was right! That's one thing about Texas, you'll see some of the most glorious and beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Well, now on to other things....

This past week has so far gone well, just busy and kinda sick with a cold. Boot Camp is starts this Friday!!!!!! I can hardly wait! Course, I'm going to try not to get too excited or I might end up getting sick. That was what always happened to me during elementary school. I'd always get really excited about a play or a field trip and end up making myself excited sick literally. That's why I missed just about every play or field trip during that time. I remember one morning when I was supposed to go on the field trip that day in school and throwing up in the bathroom, but I didn't tell my Mom because I was determined to go on that field trip. Boy, did I end up regretting that! I ended up feeling horrible at this zoo we went to and ended up losing my lunch on the playground. I didn't tell my Mom that I actually got sick that morning until a couple of years ago. She just told me that she thought I had probably learned my lesson. It really is interesting the stuff we don't tell our parents about until years later. There are plenty of things she still doesn't know about that Justin and I did as kids, and she probably doesn't want to know about some of them. She told me so, when I was talking to her one day on the way to math class. She was telling me about some of the stuff she had never told her parents about and I just told her that there were things she doesn't know about that went on downstairs in our old house, and she just laughed and said that she probably didn't even want to know. Ah, moms! What would we do without them?

Well, I guess I ought to post something!

Well, howdy to everybody! I'm glad ya'll enjoyed my last post. I'm sorry I took a while to finally post again! :/ I've been busy doing school and trying to get over my cold. It seems that Dad and I both caught a cold, so there's been a chorus of coughs around the house lately. I also was just plain too tired to get on the computer some days.
Today has gone okay. I went to the museum where I'll work sometimes to do some work Joe had wanted me to finish. It was a bunch of copying for some friends of his. I think I lifted too many heavy boxes of books. Mom probably would have gotten on to me if she knew, but I'm doing okay.
Oh, great! My time to be on here is almost up. Well, I guess I'll try to post again tomorrow if I'm not too busy! I hope all of ya'll are doing okay and not getting too busy like I seem to be. Could ya'll please pray that I find of job! I haven't been able to find anything with all the applying and asking around town that I've done.

My Advocate

The following poem is something that really means a lot to me and describes a lot of my experiences before I actually came to join the PB church. I'll explain some more in a minute.

I had read this poem when I was younger, but I really didn't comprehend it's full meaning. Not until I came across it again a few days ago did I really realize how much it reminded me of my own experiences.

Okay, you probably now want me to tell you my actual experiences that led to my joining the church. Well, ummm...it is something I cherish and I'm not sure about sharing it on here, but since it might encourage someone I'll go ahead and share some of it.

As a child I had often wondered about baptism and what the point was. It wasn't until I turned twelve that I really understood what it was for. It was around then that I started feeling a burden to be baptized, but I tried to quench it because I was too shy to try to get up in front of everybody. The burden kept growing heavier as I grew older and I felt more and more the burden of sin that I was carrying. It wasn't until I was fifteen that I finally came to have the courage to let my wishes be known that I wanted to be baptised. In the poem I just typed it talked about the devil accusing day and night, and that really happened to me. I remember him telling me how unworthy and sinful I was, and then I remembered a sermon someone had preached about how we are sinful and unworthy, but God see us through the blood of Christ and we are made spotless and clean! After I thought of that he left me, and I want you to know that after I was baptised that I felt a great burden lift off of me. I haven't even told you have the story of my experience, but to hear the rest you'll have to ask me in person. :)

Happy Valentines Day!

Well, I know Valentines Day is rather of pagan descent, but it's still nice to give flowers and candy to those that you love! :) I haven't gotten any valentines today but it's just as well. Besides, Dad did give me some candy hearts that he got at work. :D I just picked out the ones I could eat and gave the rest to whoever wanted them.
The ACT on Saturday did go well. I knew the man who was overseeing in and he's really nice and funny. I was able to finish all the sections and felt more confident than the last time I took it, but I sure don't want to take it again! It sure was cold that morning, and I had to walk across the street and across a lot of the high school's campus to get to where the testing was. Oh, well, it builds character as Calvin's father in Calvin and Hobbes would say.








Well, today has gone well. I went around town both today and yesterday dressed up really nice and asked businesses around town about if they had any part-time jobs. I sure did get a lot of no's, but one office did take my name and phone number and other information down, so that's a possibility. It would be so nice to get a job so that I'd actually be able to afford a nice car. :) We were looking at a Grand Dam(sp?), but the deal we tried to work out didn't work out, so we're back to square 1.

Flowers bloomin' in the pasture brinnnng back memories of childhood....

Well, do I remember the songs Granny used to play on her CD player while we were at her house. They kind of had a gospel/bluegrass twang. Some of their songs sounded like barbershop, but they were rather boring or extremely weird. We used to have what we would call a day at Granny's house about once a week back when we lived in Georgia. See, a lot of our cousins lived close by so we'd all get together after school and play games or whatever. Well, one time Justin and my cousin David got a tape of one of those songs that sounded weird. It was of Rock of Ages but on the word "cleft" the guy would go a couple octaves higher all the sudden and hold it for a couple of seconds. What Justin and David did was keep rewinding it on that one word. Granny made them stop after they kept doing it and doing it, but it was kind of funny. After most of the cousins quit coming because they grew up, we quit having our day at Granny's house. I still have wonderful memories of playing there and I always think of them when I go back to visit. Ah! memories! Well, I have to go! I did take the ACT today and it went fine. I'll tell you more details later!!! :)

Today has gone okay so far. I finally finished reading Quo Vadis! I never want to read it again, frankly. It made the early Christians look like a bunch of Roman Catholics! It supposed to be set in A.D. 64 and the Roman Catholic church didn't begin until about A.D. 300. We all know it began because people mixed their pagan beliefs and practices with Christianity.
Well, math class went fine today. We learned a little about using Calculus in Physics. It was rather interesting, I guess. I really do have a good teacher. :) I also got a 90 on my last test which I wasn't unhappy about.
On Saturday I am going to be going to take the ACT again. I'll be so glad when it's over! Thankfully, I won't have to write another essay since I already did that. I do hope to get an even higher score.
Did ya'll watch the President's Union Address last week? Wasn't it interesting seeing how bad the Democrats made themselves look!!! I mean, sitting down and not clapping about terrorist surveillance and when he commented that the abortion and teen pregnancy rates were down. Then they stood up and clapped when he said that the Social Security problem had not been solved. We already knew how the Democrats were, but it was interesting seeing it as it really was during the speech.
Well, I'm fighting a cold at the moment. On Sunday I think I was squeaking rather than singing alto. One of the members selected "Jesus, Hold My Hand" and I think Mom was doing a solo on the chorus where the altos take the lead because none of the other usual altos seemed to be singing. Maybe they all had colds too. :/ Hopefully, I'll get over my cold before I have to go take that test.

IT RAINED!!!!!

Hallelujah!!! It rained last night! Oh, I'm so happy! I'm not sure how much we got, but it was great to wake up and see everything wet outside! We went about ninety something days without any rain whatsoever. The Lord answered our prayers, but we still need more rain so continue to pray.
Well, I'm at the moment alone in the house. Mom and Jesse are gone to Lubbock because Jesse is involved in something. There's this guy who is doing a study on whether public schoolers or homeschoolers have more confidence in math and how they perform. He's doing this for his theisis and his theory is that homeschoolers are more confident. He is also providing a free IQ test to any kids willing to do it. Course, there is an age limit so I'm too old. I found out about it from my math teacher and I passed it on to mom who got in touch with him. So, that's what they're up to. Dad is at work at the moment and probably won't get home for another hour. So, the house is all to myself! Okay, it is kind of lonely around here I will admit, but I went ahead and got my chores done around the house that I normally do on Saturday. I was doing that because I'm going to take a practice ACT test tomorrow morning and I want to have that other stuff out of the way.
Well, I've lately been reading Quo Vadis for a book report book. It is interesting, but not very accurate regarding the way it shows Christians. It is basically about a Roman soldier who falls in love with a Christian girl during the time of Nero. The problem is that they show the early Christians as being Catholic. Any of us that have study any church history know that the Catholic church did not come along until later. There is also the problem of the Christians in the book basically worshiping Peter and Peter baptizes them by sprinkling them. I guess I shouldn't be too suprised since the guy who wrote the book was Polish.

Please Let it Rain!!!

Howdy! Really, we do need rain out here pretty bad. We haven't had any really significant rainfall since October 27th. We did get a little rain early last Friday morning, but it was just enough to dampen everything. It was nice to see it though! There have been several prairie fires in the surrounding areas and several fire bans have been put into effect. Please pray for rain out here in Texas!
Well, the little cuties left to go home about a week ago. I miss them, but I do enjoy it being rather quiet around the house. When they were here it was sometimes hard to think. I am kind of concerned about my nephew Samuel though. He has a little bit of a speech problem and we are kind of wondering if he may have a hearing problem. We think he may have a hearing problem because he seems to always yell when he talks and when Julie tries to get him to pronounce something correctly like Bambi he can't seem to hear her say that last b sound. If you could keep him in your prayers! He really is a sweetheart and I'd hate for him to have those kind of problems when he grows up.

Howdy, Stranger!

All right, all right, I know I should have posted sooner, but really, I have been busy lately! We did have a wonderful visit with my sister's family and we still can't wait until they finally move out here whenever that will be. Samuel told me that they needed to move to Texas to get a new house because their house in MS is old. He also said that he wanted to live close by so that he could come over to play. I thought that was cute. It really was hard doing school while they were here. Samuel kept begging me to come play with him every time I came out of the room I was doing my schooling in. When I finally did get to play with them, they wore me out. On Friday morning I was suffering from what my sister called the niece and nephews syndrome. I had this awful headache and an aching back and an historical moment happened that night! I actually asked my Dad to adjust me! I never voluntarily ask for an adjustment, but, hey, when you're desperate you'll ask for something to relieve the pain.
But, alas! Me poor brother Jesse is very ill and has been since yesterday morning. The poor boy wasn't able to hardly keep anything down and he can hardly speak because his throat hurts so bad. Mom took him to the doctor this afternoon and it was determined that he has strep. I really feel sorry for him because I know what it feels like to be so miserable. I got really sick with strep at my sister's house last March, and it was terrrible! I don't know what it is, but it seems almost uncanny how about every time we stay at her house we seem to get sick. Course, later Julie found that in the room where I was staying that there was a lot of black mold in the carpet. So, they have since taken up the carpet.
Well, part of my reason for not posting in so long is that I've been studying to retake the ACT in about two weeks. My math teacher and I have been going over some algebra to refresh my memory. I was supposed to go today for another tutoring session, but Jesse was too sick for Mom to leave him to take me which was okay with me because we were able to work out another time this week.
Church went great yesterday! I really enjoyed Brother Tom's sermon. He is at the moment preaching through the book John and we are studying Isaiah at our Bible studies. It really is an interesting study! I made peanut butter-chip cookies to take to church and they went over well. Oh! And dear Sister Ruth brought her mouthwatering fried okra! Oh, it was heavenly, and she also told me to take home any leftover okra. Mmmmmmmm....

Whew! I feel burnt out!!!!

Dear Blog reader, I really must apologize for not writing on here in so long. Things have been so busy as of late! Usually if I did have some free time I'd want to relax on the couch and watch Hogan's Heroes. Oh, did I tell you? Mom and Dad ordered me the complete first season of Hogan's Heroes! It is so funny! I hope to get the second season at some point.
Well, school has been going okay. I'm having a semester exam in French tomorrow. French is fun to learn, but not so fun to take tests over. Ah, c'est la vie! I also have an exam in l'histoire americain(American History). Along with all that I have to go to math class and if I have any extra time I really need to go dress up and go out applying for jobs. Oh, well, that's life.
Justin came this weekend for a visit! James and Julie are also up here visiting. At this moment they're at the Taylors' house so it's rather quiet around here. Getting back to Justin, it was great to see him and talk to him. Though, talking to him about the Memphis meeting made me wish even more that I could have gone. Maybe next year...... :) Anyway, it was great to see the Taylor childring. I was out on the lawn on Saturday playing light sabers with the nephews. Benjamin claimed that he was Dart Vefer(as he pronounces it) and I thing Samuel said he was Luke. I wonder who I was? Laya? I think they said I was Patty cake (Padme). :D They sure like Star Wars that's for sure. Ah, the joys of aunthood! There's nothing like being the center of admiration in a small child's life, course, with that comes the responsibility of setting a good example. Well, talk to you soon!!!

La la sol la sol la sol la la mi fa sol la sol la....

I believe that was the alto syllable line from Eternal Day at the beginning. It kind of came to my head so I was just typing what I could remember from singing it. Well, while my mind is on Sacred Harp, I thought I might tell you a little bit about the Sacred Harp singing we went to at the Episcopaleon church last night. It sounded really good even though it was very slow. What they need is someone from the Southeast to come show them how it's supposed to be really sung. Course, they're learning. I actually did get up and lead one with Kathy. It was one called Shawmut. The song talks about repenting and presenting an humble contrite heart before God. What was interesting was that the last time we had gone there Mom, Jesse, and Joe(Taylor) were visiting with one of the ladies from that church after the singing when they usually offer refreshments. The lady up and said that she knew that some people thought the ACLU was an awful organization and later said that she was a member of the ACLU board of Lubbock. Mom said that she and Jesse and Joe all looked at her rather stunned but didn't say anything. It is kind of interesting that someone claiming to be a Christian would be a member of an anti-Christian organization. Oh, well, ta ta for now!

Hmmm....whose the girl?

Hey! I don't know the picture of the girl looks vaguely familiar. It seems like I know her really well. Ah, well... The cloud picture is of a storm that actually produced a tornado farther north from us this past summer. It really is beautiful in the sunset! You should see some of the other pictures I've taken of storm clouds in the sunset. It's become my hobby to take pictures of sunsets and storm clouds. Course, I haven't seen a storm cloud in about three months. We have fire bans all over Texas because it's so dry. There have been several grass fires around here.
You know, it's kind of interesting how things work. I'm talking of the feminine mind. You guys are probably looking at the computer with a weird look. It seems like all guys say they'd love to understand women. Well, there was a guy that was being interviewed on Focus on the Family that just seemed to have quite an understanding, it was almost a little scary. He was talking about how little girls are asking their daddys if they think they're lovely. They may not be asking it audibly, but they're asking it. It's funny because that's what I used to wonder when I was little, was I lovely? was I pretty? When I was about twelve, I came into my parents room dressed for church in a new dress that my sister had given me. It was green and floral and I thought it made me look more grown up. My Dad walked into the room and looked at me sitting in a rocking chair waiting for Mom to see if I did my hair right and he said, "Stacey, you look pretty." That put me on cloud nine! Course, you guys probably think this a weird topic for a blog, but it was important to me. Oh, well enough sentiment I have to go! Talk to you soon and God bless!
